Descriptive Mysteries--Using
complete sentences, one child must describe the "single shoe" (bottom
sample) in detail so that a parent or another child, using the written
description only, can find that shoe on the page of similar shoes (top sample).
Sound easy? Well, here's the catch--the child writing the
description can't see the page of similar shoes and the person receiving the
written description can't see the "single shoe."
Still sound easy? Try this sample with your children and see
how much thinking, descriptive writing, and fun is involved!
