Chess
Tournament - "CHESS in ACTION"
Hosted
by Creative Arts in Action.
Saturday, January
5th, 2008
All
Chess lovers are invited to participate!
Registration:
9:30 - 10:00 am.
First round starting at 10:15 am.
There will be Five rounds.
Award
presentation 3:30pm (Schedule
may change according to length of
rounds.
Next round will begin as soon as all participants are
finished, or 45 minutes
whichever
comes first.)
Information:
Individual. This is a Non-rated competition.
~USCF rules apply.
~Parent or adult supervision is required.
~Championship Chess Coaches will be there.
~Parents will not be permitted next to
competitors while competing.
Age Groups: Three age groups apply to individual and
team.
1)
6 -8 year olds.
2)
9 -12 year olds.
3)
13 - 18 year olds.
Prizes:
1)
Individual a) First & Second, Place
trophies per age group.
b)
Individual medallions.
Cost:
1) Individual
a) Pre-registration
$15.00.
Must be received by December 30th, 2007.
b) On Site registration $20.00
Food
& Drinks;
Coffee Shop will be open for special
coffees and snacks.
Lunch will be available, you may bring your
own, or you may go out.
**Remember there is no guarantee for starting
times**
Pre-ordered $5.00 lunch tickets, includes
Chick-Fil-A sandwich, chips & drink.
The
Coffee House will be open for all your favorite
lattes, frappachino's and smoothies.
Chess Club tournament rules and guidelines for
play
45 minute game rounds.
Players may not
join a tournament after the beginning of the second
round.
