The
Student’s Perspective
While homeschooling magazines flourish,
they often focus primarily on the thoughts, ideas and needs of homeschool
parents, and as such, attract a parent
audience. But how often do we read articles that
present a student's perspective or read the writings of the homeschool
student? Not often enough. And so, Creative Arts in Action brings to you The Student's Perspective, a magazine that features the ideas,
thoughts and works of homeschool students, inviting you to take a peek into the
world from their perspective.
This magazine not only features the work
of the students themselves, but also is
the product of their initiative, enterprise and creativity. The Student's
Perspective is published under the direction of
Rosie Watson of Creative Arts in Action.

Spring Arrives
By: Michaella Elliot
Age
11
As Spring joyously dances into the house of seasons, the warm song on her lips begins melting away all of winter's gloom. As she steps onto her pedestal, she conducts a symphony of nature. The lady aspens raise their silvery soprano voices, the wise oaks blend their wizened baritone and the slender birch joins with their shallow metallic alto. The rivers shake off the chains of ice that once bound them to stillness, but now they gurgle and churn as the happiness of freedom swells inside them. Birds twitter and flit from branch to branch, letting out strains of harmony. Lilies, buttercups and daisies push theirs heads above the ground, and smile at the deep blue sky. All creation laughs and sings under a golden sun, that yawns and once again brings warmth to earth. Spring continues her work, but must yield it when summer comes into play.
