Grades 10 - 12 - British Literature In the fall we will study Oliver Twist.  In the spring we will study Pride & Prejudice. Class Time: 1 1/2 hours - This is a two-16 week semester totaling 8 months.  Biography:  Melanie graduated from Texas Women's University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Dance Minor. She is a Texas certified Teacher in Secondary English and Dance. In the last few years, Melanie has taught English 1 Pre AP, English III and Dance at the Lake Worth High School in Lake Worth, TX. She is a member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators and the Drill Team Directors of America. Melanie is married with 3 children.

Some of the studies will culminate with special Readers Theatre presentations. Grades 7 - 8 In the fall we will study Johnny Tremain & A Christmas Carol. In the spring we will study A Wrinkle In Time. Class Time: 1 1/2 hours - This is a two-16 week semester totaling 8 months.
