Biology
w/Lab
Exploring
Creation With Biology is a college-prep biology course that provides a detailed
introduction to the methods and concepts of general biology. Heavily emphasizing
the vocabulary of biology, it provides the student with a strong background in
the scientific method, the five-kingdom classification scheme, microscopy,
biochemistry, cellular biology, molecular and Mendelian genetics, evolution,
dissection, and ecosystems. It also provides a complete survey of the five
kingdoms in Creation. Please note that this course does not contain a discussion
of human anatomy and physiology. Students who take and understand this course
will be very well-prepared for a tough university biology course. The student
text contains all student material, on-your-own questions and solutions,
laboratory exercises, and chapter study guides. Color illustrations and
diagrams.
It
is recommended that the student take this course during the same year that he or
she is taking Algebra 1 or have already completed Algebra 1.
Class Time: 2 hours - This is a two-semester course of 16
weeks each totaling 8 months.
Biography:
Krystal has been employed in the Teleradiology industry, in a clinical emergency room setting, and in medical credentialing giving her over 10 years experience in the medical field. Having been a homeschooling parent for 7 years, God has lead her to share her love for Science, Biology, and Anatomy with students; to give them the knowledge to seek out the wonders of God's world and his creations.
Krystal is currently at Dallas Baptist University working towards a Bachelors of Science with a major in Biology
and a minor in Psychology.
“You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.” - Clay P. Bedford

Physical
Science
Exploring Creation with Physical Science discusses such
topics as the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, weather, the structure of the earth,
environmentalism, the physics of motion, Newton’s Laws, gravity, and
astrophysics. The author especially concentrates on the myths generated by the
hysterical environmentalist movement. There are many hands-on experiments to do,
and they all use household chemicals and supplies.
It is an excellent course for preparing the student to
take a college-prep high school science curriculum.
Exploring Creation with Physical Science 2nd edition.
Class Time: 1 1/2 hours - This is a two-16 week semester
totaling 8 months.

General
Science
Exploring Creation with General Science covers such topics
as the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, archaeology,
geology, paleontology, biology, and human anatomy and physiology. Its scope,
therefore, is quite wide. Many hands-on experiments will make this class
practical yet exciting .
Students who do not have a lot of experience taking
tests which require them to truly master the course material might have trouble
with this course at first. However, the study skills required for this course
are absolutely essential for high school and beyond.

Anatomy
& Physiology
The
Human Body, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made, is our advanced biology course.
Combined with Exploring Creation With Biology, it gives the student the
equivalent of a university biology course. In other words, these two courses
together cover the entire "advanced placement" (AP) curriculum. In
order to take this course, the student MUST have completed a first-year biology
course. It covers both the anatomy and the
physiology of the human body’s 11 organ systems in detail.

Marine Biology
In order to take this course, students must have completed a first-year
biology course, preferably Exploring Creation With Biology. This course
concentrates on marine wildlife and marine habitats. It provides a survey of
members of each biological kingdom that live in marine environments. The student
will learn about the microscopic organisms that make life in the ocean possible,
including details about their interesting habits and life cycles. The student
will also learn about the anatomy of many macroscopic marine creatures such as
clams, starfish, and sharks. The student will then learn how these creatures and
their physical surroundings form marine ecosystems such as intertidal zones,
estuaries, coral reefs, continental shelf communities, epipelagic communities,
and deep-ocean communities. The course ends with a study of marine resources and
our relationship with the sea.
