The art and science of accelerated learning of languages is taught by
Judy Schuldt utilizing the Super-Language Course by Dr. Miles
Jones.
Class Time: 1 1/2 hours twice per week- This is a two-semester
course totaling 32 weeks!
Spanish
Immersion 1 - Introduction to Spanish Immersion
Materials:1 " 3 Ring Binder, Spanish/English Dictionary,
Spanish Verb Book, and Spanish Flipper (The Flipper is
sold in our bookstore).
Curriculum: Super-Spanish -
Tom Sawyer - 1st Semester & Super-Spanish - Huck Finn -
2nd Semester
Spanish Immersion 2 - Pre-requisite, Spanish
Immersion 1 or two prior years of Spanish.
Materials: 1 " 3 Ring Binder,
Spanish/English Dictionary, Spanish Verb Book, and Spanish
Flipper (The Flipper is sold in our bookstore).
Curriculum: Super-Spanish - Black
Beauty (1st Semester), Super-Spanish - 20,000 Leagues Under
the Sea, 2nd Semester
Bio:
Judy
Schuldt’s love of the Spanish language began early on in High
School when she heard a friend’s sister speak fluent Spanish
after graduating college.
With a heart for missions, Judy spent her first year
after graduating High School studying missions at Jackson
College of Ministries in Jackson, Miss.
After 2 trips to Mexico, she decided to pursue her degree in
Spanish and graduated with a B.A. in Foreign Language and
Linguistics at the Univerity of Texas at
Arlington
and a minor in biology.
While she was in college, she met her husband Brad in
an English Literature class, where he supported her while
finishing her education. Judy
has had the privilege of going to Mexico on mission trips to
orphanages, loving on the children, telling them about Jesus,
making them laugh, and then teaching them some English. She
also worked in the medical field for 8 years, where she was
utilized as a written and verbal translator.
After her two sons Bradley and Tanner were old enough
to go to school, she decided to come home from the workforce
and home school her 2 precious boys.
Later, in
a short stint of private school with her sons, Judy taught Jr.
High Spanish.
Then, Center for Home Education was discovered, and what a
blessing! While
taking a Super Math course with her son Tanner, Judy met Dr.
Miles Jones, founder and creator of the Super Spanish
Immersion program.
Here at the Center, she student-taught with Dr. Jones for 2
years while studying Dr. Jones’ innovative and effective
methods for teaching foreign languages.
Judy gives God the glory for “directing her paths” to
the Center for Home Education and the Spanish Immersion
curriculum! Judy loves
teaching your kids and her passion is that they develop a love
of the Spanish language and people, and have fun doing
it…going beyond the high school “requirement”, and into their
world.
