Lab Fee: $ 75 Cost for 2 semesters: $560 Includes Non- refundable deposit: $50 ($70 per month) Payment Plan available Curriculum: $ 80 Homework: Yes Hours/Week: 4-6 Max/Min Students: 12/6 Grades: 10-12   Physics with Lab    Exploring Creation with Physics is an honors level lecture/theory and lab/practical application combination, which will introduce students to a wide variety of topics such as: Introduction to the methods and concepts of general physics, heavily emphasizing vector analysis, one-dimensional and two-dimensional motion, Newton’s laws and their application, gravity, work and energy, momentum, periodic motion, waves, optics, electrostatics, electrodynamics, electrical circuits, and magnetism.     This college-prep is designed for students who have completed Algebra I and Geometry and have an introduction to the definitions of sine, cosine tangent.   This course uses Exploring Creation with Physics, 2nd Edition - Apologia. Class Time: 2 hours - This is a two 16-week semester course totaling 8 months or 64 hours of class time!  Biography:  Jeanne Vrij is a mother of two wonderful children, entering her second year of homeschooling.  She earned a BA in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, with a minor in Chemistry and Latin. She also holds a teaching certificate in Secondary Composite Science.  She has taught Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, and Latin during her nine years experience in both private and public school settings.  She is a firm believer in relevant "hands-on" learning experiences, and designs her classes to make the lessons meaningful for the students.  Jeanne is excited to be given the opportunity to share her enthusiasm and her passion for learning with the students at the Center for Home Education.
